Leather case recommendations for HP 48?
Message #1 Posted by megarat on 27 May 2010, 1:20 a.m.

Hey all,

I remember some years ago, Calcpro sold a "leather desk" product for the HP48 calculator that was (I believe) a leather secretary-style chequebook/wallet repurposed as an HP48 case. There was an interior pocket the size of business cheques that the calc fit in, an interior slip-pocket held the quick-reference manual, and the credit card slots worked great for software cards. Other appointments, like the pen loop, came in handy for what they were.

I had one at the time, which I liked, but while in a fugue state I unloaded it with the rest of my HP48 kit. Since I've started to get back into the HP48, I've regretted that sale. While Calcpro still sells a "leather desk", but it's of a different design. There isn't an interior pocket and I don't really see how it could be used with the HP48 without scuffing it up.

So I'm back in the market of looking for a new leather case for my HP48, in the general style of a secretary chequebook/wallet: with interior pockets for the calculator, software cards, etc. Does anyone have anything they can recommend? (Ideally something that can still be purchased.)

Hi. An old HP-41 'leather' case. Not genuine leather, not a very fancy color (brown) but it works allright.

Regards!
Johnny
