HP 50g newbie question
Message #1 Posted by Bob Patton on 18 May 2010, 8:10 p.m.

How can I force a computed integer added to a string to not have a decimal point after the integer in the resulting string? This was never a problem for me with the 48G.

Clear flag -105:

-105 CF

(Exact mode on)

Alternetively press [MODE] [FLAGS] and [UP ARROW] until '105 Approx. mode on' is highlighted then uncheck it.

Thanks for the quick reply, but flag 105 is off (Exact mode on). The problem seems to be that the whole number value I have is still a real number, type 0, and not a real integer, type 28. Is there a way to convert type 0 to type 28? I do have the AUR if anyone can refer me to any clue in that.

R->I (real to integer, -> is the arrow character on RS-0)

Type it, find it in the CAT, or go into COVERT (LS-6) then REWRITE.
