Does this calculator look familiar to any one?

Yes, it does. It's a well known 12c work alike. Whether it uses code and patents from HP, I don't know.

I'm not sure what patents you're referring to, but it is unlikely that it uses any of HP's code, as there are many differences in its behaviour compared to the 12C (and 12c Platinum).

I wasn't thinking of any specific patent. From what you are telling, it's not a licensed copy, just a clone.

AFAIK, after more than 25 years, any patents still applicable seem pretty unlikely.
