Finally found a new 12C at Fry's; firmware version
Message #1 Posted by Eric Smith on 28 Feb 2010, 10:22 p.m.

Every time I go to a bay area Fry's I look for a new 12C, and every time it's been the non-ARM model until today. I finally found the ARM model at the Fry's in Campbell.

It has the 2008-06-28 firmware (checksum 00be). Has anyone seen different firmware provided on a retail-purchase 12C?

Is it the 12C that requires two RC2032 batteries instead of one?

Yes. It has a very wide battery door that you can see by looking into the packaging from the top.
