Programmable ? Message #1 Posted by Gilles Collas on 27 Feb 2010, 6:52 a.m. Hi! The following sequence of keys should be able to demonstrate the ability of a HP 41C to be programmed. It is the case on my 41 CVs, but not on the 41C, I would like to know what is going wrong here. Keys ----> Display ON+CLX ---> MEMORY LOST PRGM ----> 00 REG 46 GTO .. ----> 00 REG 46 LBL alpha AAA alpha ----> 01 ASHF SIN ---> ROM R/S ---> ROM PRGM --> 0.0000 PRGM ----> 01 ASHF SST ----> PRIVATE BST ----> PRIVATE GTO .. ----> 00 REG 12 LBL alpha BBB alpha ----> 01 ASHF COS ---> ROM R/S ---> ROM PRGM --> 0.0000 PRGM ----> 01 ASHF SST ----> PRIVATE BST ----> PRIVATE GTO .. ----> 00 REG 12 And so on, I can't enter any program.... Any comments, gents (or ladies) ? gilles

Sorry, but can you tell me what a service module is and how to operate?

An alternative way is to obtain the ROM image and download it to suitable reprogrammable module (hardware), such as an MLDL or a Clonix module.

One of the main interests I had when using MLDL2000 to emulate the HP41 system ROM´s functionality was not only to locate the faulty ROM but also to test the remaining calculator if there is none to replace it. In this case, the only way to repair would be taking a good ROM from a donator, though. Success! Luiz (Brazil)
