Serial no of HP48GX Message #1 Posted by matti on 15 Feb 2010, 3:25 a.m. Hi all Can you explain this serial no of HP48GX (black LDC) ID144023xx ID is for Indonesia but then 1 or 14 for manufacturing year? is it then 1991? 2004? (http://www.hpmuseum.org/collect.htm#numbers) thanks, matti (Finland)

As I interpret this, your machine was manufactured in Indonedia in the 44th week of the year 1991. Best regards Frido

For sure, it shoul be 2001 instead of 1991. 1) The HP48GX was introduced first 1993 2) The kind of serial number for your machine was introduced 1997. All to read in the HP48-FAQ.
