Interesting Pairing
Message #1 Posted by Norman Dziedzic on 4 Feb 2010, 8:57 p.m.

I have noticed the prices of the 35s Coming down and now one internet seller is throwing in a 10S with the 35s Newegg 35S/10S bundle

I wonder...moving dead inventory or wiping out the models? Curious...

I've heard a rumor that the next "Shell Shocker" at Newegg will be a free HP-95C when you buy this QuickCalc 3-pack for only $279.99 :)

if they are really worth 120USD each. Maybe HP decided to use massive 24k gold keycaps (plastic coated)?

I have seen those calcs announced for sale a few weeks ago and wonder which company was producing them. Did not care for their looks, did notice the logo...

Someone pointed out this offer months ago. Makes one wonder:

1. Is Newegg's website management so incompetent that after all this time, no one has noticed the error, or

2. Their sales department so incompetent that no one has noticed they received no sales of this item, or

3. They conceived this as a joke, or

4. They figured at the MSRP of $6 each they would only have to sell one 3-pack to some idiot to equal 300 at the regular price so why not give it a go?

With all the cuts to my reimbursement due to insurance cut-backs and Medicare (30% cut this year!), etc., I've been joking that I should raise my rates to a million dollars an hour.

Then if could get only ONE patient to pay their bill.....

I love the one review:

Pros: If you've ever been jealous of the people who owned the first calculators in the 1970's, this is your chance to relive all the fun. These are basic 4-function calculators, and they cost $120 each! Now when one of your friends brags about having bought a calculator in the 1970's for a hundred bucks, you can respond that you paid $120 this MORNING!

Cons: These calculators redefine the low end of price vs. performance.

Redefine it, indeed!
