Happy 2010
Message #1 Posted by Walter B on 31 Dec 2009, 4:40 p.m.

Though our Australian friends are already in for some hours, it's still in time for the Western Hemisphere:

Happy New Year to all HP-freaks, collectors, forumers, scientists and hobbyists!

Und ein Frohes Neues Jahr für die deutschsprachige Abteilung!

Ceterum censeo: HP, launch a 43S (remember A. C. Clarke: "2010 - the year we returned").

Walter

I am fond of calling the original "A Space Oddity".

The sequel was even odder.

Hopefully not so with HP's new launches.

Hi, all;

Feliz Ano Novo (Happy New Year, in Portuguese)

How could we miss A. C. Clarke's future prediction that much...

Happy new year to you all, I am not a frequent contributor, but I read this forum at least once a day. You all have given many hours of pleasure and intellectual stimulation - I thank you for that and wish you all a prosperous 2010.

A certain upbeat and infectious tune has stuck with me ever since hearing it in the 1970's on "easy-listening" radio or music service. However, I did not learn until very recently that its title was "Eine Schwarzwaldfahrt" (A Walk in the Black Forest).

It was an international instrumental hit in 1965 for Horst Jankowski, so I'm sure that many others of a certain age who populate this readership will also remember it. Links to a recorded track or performance are readily available on the various YouTube sites.
