Saving i41cx+ states and configurations--what's the difference?
Message #1 Posted by Les Wright on 7 July 2009, 3:27 a.m.

S.L. says it all. The newer iterations of the app allow one to save the calculator State or Configuration, and for the life of me I can't find in the online material anything that explains the difference.

I suppose I should email Antonio directly (FYI, if I bring a concern or bug report to him he always writes me when it is addressed in a subsequent release), but with a few contented users I thought I should start here first.

I haven't looked into it much, but when I looked at the two different saves sent to my email, the "State" save email contained about 5 times more code than the "Configuration" code. My guess is that the config save is a subset of the state save. Just a shot in the dark.

[edit]I think the size difference has to do with the embedded image. So disregard my shot in the dark. :(
