An HP48GX that makes a buzzing sound. HELP!!
Message #1 Posted by Namir on 26 Feb 2009, 6:00 p.m.

I have an HP48GX that makes a buzzing sound when you turn it on!!! The sound is coming from the IR device area. Any opinion as to what is wrong with the machine. Is it very serious? Can it be fixed?

Thank you in advance for your reply.

It is extremely serious. It is a nuclear effervescence incident. It will cause all the beer in the house to explode.

I can't wait for April to come...

It's one of two things:
http://www.hpcalc.org/hp48/docs/faq/48faq-6.html#ss6.1
http://groups.google.com/group/comp.sys.hp48/msg/38e1631ae84e73be

The first is more likely, but i like the second one better. :)
