Help needed (O.T.)

Today I purchased a privileg F 892NC calculator at a garage sale for twenty-five cents. It is a financial calculator It came with a carton and a manual It apparently uses rechargeable cells but it didn't come with a charger. I haven't worked up my courage to open it yet. Can anyone tell me what external voltage I should apply?
It was a great day for collecting as I also purchased a Rockwell Model 9 TR for twenty-five cents. The Ball/Flamm book lists it as "very uncommon".
