HP-50g DIVIS
Message #1 Posted by Tim on 19 Sept 2008, 10:16 p.m.

I just bought and HP-50g and I am trying to learn to use the calculator. When I use DIVIS with and integer e.g. DIVIS(6) I get {1 6.} Instead of {1 2 3 6} Can anyone help?

Do it in exact mode: R= must be in the header. When in approximate mode (R~) you can switch to exact mode by [right shift] hold [ENTER].

In exact mode you'll get {1 2 3 6} as result.

In RPN mode you would put 6 on stack level 1 and than invoke DIVIS to get that same result.

On our site there are free documentation for the 50G. One is the device functions the other the quick start or something like that. You need a PDF Reader to read the information. If you are unable to open it then the reader is not as current. I believe the issue you face is solved in our mathematics software. We are adding information daily. If you do not see the document or you have technical questions, contact us. We also have a forum where we will put our answers for review.
