Have you considered ditching it and buying another for $35 online... IMHO, Most of the 82143 printers are not worth the time and materials required to refurbish them.

Even better you could get a 82242A IR printer module and a 82241 IR printer. There are at least 2 strong benefits to this approch:

1) The IR printer works with a dozen other models, not only the HP41
2) Suffer no more the page issues with the HP Printer and conflicts with the HPIL bus or other program modules.

The 82242A IR printer module has exactly the same "page" issues as the 82143A. Both use page 6, so you can't use them together, nor can you use either one with an 82160A HP-IL module unless you set the switch on the HP-IL module to disable its printer ROM.

It has to, or the 41 won't know that it's a printer.
