OT: Classpad with "No boot block"
Message #1 Posted by Marcus von Cube, Germany on 28 Mar 2008, 8:46 a.m.

I've recently acquired a used Classpad 300plus (ebay #220213475404) that must have lost its operating system. It complains about "No boot block" and waits for some code over USB. The standard CP USB driver doesn't connect. I assume, special software is needed to fix the problem.

Has anybody of you ever seen this and can tell me how to proceed?

Marcus

P.S.: The eBay seller has clearly stated what is wrong with the machine, but I was hoping, a simple download would fix it.

If I remember correctly there was an illegal OS update available from version 2.2 to 3.0 some times ago. The installation was tricky and so it was easy to crash the OS and even the firmware needed for the connection. I'm afraid that only Casio can help now.
