OT: Looking for a person who uploaded HP-41E and TI-57E to www.hpcalc.org
Message #1 Posted by HrastProgrammer on 4 Mar 2008, 1:17 a.m.

I found, by accident, that my HP-41E and TI-57E emulators from http://www.hrastprogrammer.com were uploaded to http://www.hpcalc.org ...

I am looking for the one who did it, so he can correct an error in hp41e49.zip. This file contains v115 subdirectory, obviously intended to contain the old 1.15 version. But, as I can see, it contains the latest version in this subdirectory meaning that the old 1.15 has been destroyed and is not available for download anymore. In my opinion, it was wrong to mix two different versions in the same file. The old version should have been renamed to something like hp41e4x_115.zip because it doesn't have a lot in common with the new one.

Comment: Although I don't have anything against such distribution (as far as my freeware work is concerned), it would be nice to contact me prior to uploading so we can sort out errors like that ...

Best regards.
Hrast

I do see a way to upload programs to this site, so I assume that someone sent them to Eric. Eric may have a record of this. You can contact him here: http://www.hpcalc.org/contact.php.

Yes, I contacted him but I don't think he can provide the info about the uploader because there is no such field on the upload page.

Again, I don't have anything against this and I am grateful that someone did a job instead of me. I just want this error to be fixed :-)
