Connectivity Issues Continued
Message #1 Posted by Ed Look on 23 Feb 2008, 8:35 p.m.

This concerns my continual problems with trying to connect my HP-48G series calculators to my PC. I have no problems with my 49G+, however.

Conn4x, Conn3x, do not work for me. I mentioned here once that my serial ports seem not be usable for HP calculator connectivity and someone suggested I get a serial-USB converter cable. I did that and it worked initally. Now, these programs do not sense the calculator anymore.

But hp48Explorer does, but then there are some calculator objects it can't see. The one I definitely know about is just a program.

Could it be an issue with the calculator? I doubt it as I have the same trouble with a 48G and a 48G+.

Here I thought I was the only dupe having this problem... My 49G+ connects every time but I cannot connect with the 48G. Misery loves company ;-) Jeff Kearns

As I mentioned, try using hp48 Explorer. It connects!
