HP17BII+ enter key
Message #1 Posted by Mvdn on 10 Jan 2008, 1:59 p.m.

I was looking forward when i would be available : 'the new HP 17 BII+' Now I took a clser look and saw the enter key is bottom right. It's a sham it isn't where it belongs (where the input key is). Same mistake they made with the 33s but we could manage that easily with some programming.

R/S key alias Enter Key

Go into PRGM Mode (Left Green PRGM) LBL A - (Left Green LBL A) You can use any label A-Z R/S ENTER GTO A (Left Green GTO) Exit Prgm mode (Left Green PRGM)

Now any time you want to use the R/S key as the ENTER function just press XEQ A. You need the XEQ A to assure your R/S as an enter does not start in some undefined program you have loaded.

Rest assured that, in RPN mode, the INPUT key (double width, located where ENTER used to be) works as ENTER for all practical purposes in the HP 17 B II ++ (the silver one).

Any update on US availability/launch for the new silver HP 17BII+ (which as noted previously has been available in the UK for the last few months)

The 17BII+ page on the HP's US calculator site sports the image of the new (silver) model. However, all supplementary material (datasheet, Flash tour, PDF manual) is for the older one.

HP did show the new HP17BII+ (along with the revised HP10BII) at the Consumer Electronics Show this past week, so I would expect its availability to be imminent.
