OT:Texas TI-59/58C make calculations % using HIR
Message #1 Posted by gileno on 6 Jan 2008, 7:31 a.m.

Make calculations % using HIR

76 LBL 11 A 82 HIR 03 03 (STO 3) 82 HIR 11 11 (RCL 1) 82 HIR 43 43 (PRD 3) 82 HIR 13 13 (RCL 3) 55 / (Division) 01 01 00 00 00 00 54 ) 91 R/S 81 RST

Example:

1960 + 19% = 1960 + 19 A = 2332.40 1960 - 60% = 1960 - 60 A = 784

Optimization?

On the HP 42S, First enter the numbers:

1960
ENTER^
60
Then press only three keys to optimize your solution:
1. [SHIFT]
2. %
3. -

Try http://www.datamath.org/ and find joerg@datamath.org <joerg@datamath.org> for e-mail contact. Why does this "point in the spaces"? Returned e-mail?

a trivial TI59 Optimization problem on a HP

Correct me if I am wrong, Walter is not asking HOW to contact DATAMATH, rather suggesting in a polite manner that an HP calculator forum is a strange place to post a trivial TI59 Optimization problem.

Perhaps it is, but I'll rather see hundred TI-59 topics here, no matter how trivial they are, instead of one ebay topic ...

He was not asking about a 42S.
