HP-28S error Message #1 Posted by aton on 18 Aug 2006, 11:48 a.m. hello i had a full functioning HP-28S then I loaned it after i got it back i get the following screen after power on 3: 2: 1: Y the Y is followed be a blinking quad now when i want to do a sytem test, keyboard test or clear memory it freezes can this accrue through incorrect programming ?

This means that, in your case, input is being performed. So, it seems to me your HP28S has a locked [Y] key. Maybe you can loose it, but I have no clue about how could you do that.
