batteries Message #1 Posted by Roger Walworth on 10 Aug 2006, 2:38 p.m. Just wanted to let you know that I have an HP-25 that I've been running on Alkaline cells for many years with no problems. I pried open the original pack and put in new or used AA cells. Used cells are probably closer to the correct voltage and usually last for months depending on usage but I've also used new cells many times. Everything still works fine.
