To Mr. Eric Smith - about HP 9872A plotter
Message #1 Posted by Artur-Brazil on 31 July 2006, 1:38 p.m.

Hi, Mr. Smith

Some time ago you give an answer to my post about one friend of yours using one HP-9872A plotter to print on PCBs. Do you know from which system he could control this plotter? Also, if you could provide his email or contact me? Best regards Artur - Brazil

Rich Ottosen was controlling the plotter with a PC and a custom-made serial-to-HPIB interface (though a standard IEEE-488 card for the PC should work just as well). The plotter head was modified slightly to accomodate the PCB thickness. You should be able to get contact information using Google.
