Ti-89 vs. Hp49G+
Message #1 Posted by Will on 16 July 2006, 7:25 p.m.

few weeks ago i tested both...i can not understand why some engineering profesionals prefer a Ti-89 titanium instead a Hp...

The Ti unit that i was played with, has a really small screen with even smaller numbers....have a lot less useful features than the 49g+ (specially the units conversion module), the CAS is also better programmed...I think the 49 is a piece of cheap plastic but still a better unit for engineering than a Ti even thinking that a 49 is a disponsable unit after a year....

but nothing beats my Hp48GX and hp15c in the real world, quick calculations, reliable hardware (my PC is better suited for heavy calcs)....just imagine a 48GX hardware with a 49G+ firmware and processor....
