HP-12C models
Message #1 Posted by Antonio Maschio (Italy) on 5 July 2006, 5:34 a.m.

Hi, I beg your pardon if this question may result annoying.

I have two HP-12C, one for use and one for the collection. Their SN are:

CN13006020
CNA51503282

Both are supported by a coin cell CR2032.

May anyone of you kindly outline deeply the difference between them, and the difference of them compared to the original 1981 models? Or address me to some specific resource?

And: why the first is CN, and the second is CNA? What does "A" stand for?

Thanks for you patience.

As mentioned in this thread, the letter after the country code indicates a specific manufacturing plant. The first batch of 33s's also had a plain CN, and all subsequent runs were CNA.
