Scrolling Messages On HP41C?
Message #1 Posted by jyl on 5 June 2006, 7:35 p.m.

Do any HP41C programs use scrolling alphanumeric messages? Is this feasible?

E.g. instead of a cryptic message like "veh wt" the display scrolls "enter vehicle weight in lbs then R/S".

Sure. It scrolls about two characters per second. You cannot use cursor keys to scroll back and forth, and the alpha register is only 24 characters long. The 41cx text editor allows limited scrolling control and longer lines.
