Data recovery
Message #1 Posted by Richard Lovin on 22 May 2006, 8:15 p.m.

You are the folks most likely to have some of the old HP tape drives thus I am seeking your help. I have been asked by the US Forest Service to extract data from old HP tapes, the ones that looked like an ordinary audio cassette, product number 9162-0050. I have 29 of their tapes with historical tree research data. I need to extract the data and put on CDRoms. If any of you can help in any way, please contact me at n7viy@yahoo.com. I am in Bend, Oregon. They are willing to pay any reasonable fee. A loan, purchase, or rental of equipment would help. I am a former HP systems person and would take great care of your gear.

Thanks,

Rich Lovin
