HP49G+ USB cable
Message #1 Posted by Steve Dimond on 5 May 2006, 3:32 a.m.

I'm trying to do the collector thing and reassemble the original contents of my HP49G+ box. However, I am not sure which of two mini-USB cables in my possession is the original HP cable (the other came with a MP3 player/recorder). Fortunately, the cables look quite different, so I was hoping someone on here could briefly check their cable and tell me which is which.

Cable A in my possession is 150cm long, 3mm in diameter and has a plastic cylindrical block attached to the cable at the mini-USB end.

Cable B is 180cm long, 4.5mm in diameter and is uniform over its entire length with no plastic block.

I'm pretty sure that cable B is the HP one. Could someone please confirm for me?

Many thanks in advance, Steve
