HP11C
Message #1 Posted by joe kinn on 1 May 2006, 4:56 p.m.

I've had my 11C since '86 with no problems. Last week the display suddenly began using commas for decimal points and decimal points for commas. A little distracting. I've briefed thru the instruction manual and checked the batteries, but can't find a solution. Did I inadvertanly reprogram the calc. or is this just something that happens to a 20 yr. old calc?

thx...jk

You probably accidentally turned the calculator on while holding the [.] key down. Which is also the way to change things back.
So, to be precise: turn it off, then press and hold [.], press and release [ON], then release [.].
Good luck!
