HP 48SX Message #1 Posted by sebastien chouinard on 11 Apr 2006, 8:47 a.m. The batteries were dying. The last time it booted up, I got a message "Trying to recover memory". I just replaced the batteries and automatically, the screen a all dark, with the hourglass. Nothing else. Can't turn it on or off or reset with the three corner keys. Any help would be great. Simply left the calculator without any batteries in it for 1/2 hour Installed the batteries and it turned on properly with the message "Try to recover memory". All is good.
