Series 80 modul timing
Message #1 Posted by foellmy on 18 Feb 2007, 5:51 p.m.

Hallo to all HP fans,

i am interesting to develop some new hardware for the HP-85/86/87. At time i dont know waht is possible, but first i will understand the signals and the timing on the modul bus. Does everyone has more informations about that ? .. or some additional dokus ? I only fond smal information in the HP 80 Series Modul doku. There is a little signal desciption and a description of the translator chip, but no about the adress transfering and clock timinig.

Thank you and sorry about my bad english.

Andreas

P.S. ... does everyone knows what is with the great www.sereis80.org page ?

Check out the "Assembly Language I/O Reference Manual" which describes the programing of the translator chip.

Well the site is up, but I no longer have a DNS server to advertise the domain. I have asked people here and there for help in finding a DNS server, but so far I haven't had any luck.

If you already have your domain registered for it, I'll provide DNS at no charge. If you need registration as well, I do that for $11/domain/year. (There are better deals on that to be found elsewhere.)

With Eric's generous offer to host the DNS records for Series80.org, I can announce that the site will be back on-line in 1-2 days.

Many many thanks to Eric

Thank you for the doku. Looks like a good starting point.

At first i will try to rebuild a translator chip in a cpld and transfer some date to a conectet microcontroller. But, can not spent mutch time, think need a long time for a workling hardware.

And i see you website it up again with a DNS. Great :-))) Thank you for this. I get many information from it.
