Update on my 41CV not turns on

In ealier posts I said that my 41CV turned itself off and I can't turn it on again. I found that after taking the batteries out for a few days it would work again but.. when I do a CAT 3 function it turns itself off again and in a lock up state until I again take the batteries out for a few days. What do you think the problem is? When I did the CAT 3 function it would run thru a number of function and then died. Is it possible that some of the functions or ROM is messed up?
