charger compatibility
Message #1 Posted by Bram on 14 Dec 2006, 5:15 a.m.

Good morning,

I would like to know whether or not I could use the adapter/charger from an HP-97 to charge the accupack of an HP-41CX.

The connectors seem to physically fit (I cannot yet check it; I won't get my CX until in a fortnight's time).
From information I found in this museum I get the impression that it is possible, but I'm still not 100% sure. I think that the 82066A from the 97 is the 220V version of the 82059D (115V) that sometimes was supplied with a 41. It is said that an 82066B may be used for a 41, but then what is the meaning of the letters?
Could anyone elucidate this matter?

I used the same one to charge both calculators as well as the printer for the 41 and have no problem. I don't know if there is a different.

Thank you.
I'm confident enough to give it a try. If I'm not mistaken, I can charge outside the device, so the risks are minute.
