HP-50g storing equations
Message #1 Posted by Matt Crlenjak on 10 Dec 2006, 2:19 p.m.

Will I be able to write and store equations in the equation library on the HP-50g without downloading additional software? Thanks for any information you may be able to provide. I am currently using an 11c so I am excited about the new calc!

On a 48GX, you cannot edit or modify the built-in equation library, which is permanently stored in ROM. I would assume that the same is true for the 49G or 50G.

You can create your own equation libraries on the 48GX, which work exactly like the built-in equation library. The easiest way to do this is by installing utilities such as "User Equation Library", which is available for free download at hpcalc.org. Again, I would assume that there are similar utilities available for the 49G or 50G.
