Re: Advantage Pac for HP 41 Message #4 Posted by Les Wright on 26 Nov 2006, 5:05 p.m., in response to message #2 by Namir
I agree that the Advantage Pac is a good find, but I didn't realize it at the time.
I already own a 41CV, have for years, and just recently got it repaired. I placed a bid on a CX and forgot about it, expecting it to get sniped. I guess the eBay climate was in my favour that week--I got the CX for well under $300, with all manuals (no box though). The unexpected bonus was the Advantage Pac module included, which I didn't pay much attention in the original ad.
At first I thought the Math Pac and Advantage Pac had a lot of overlap, but I learned soon that there was less than I thought. The Matrix routines and Integrators are very different, as has been pointed out, among other things.
I don't know if you have the MoHPC DVD, but the Advantage Pac manual in the introduction briefly discusses overlap issues wiht Math Pac and, I think, Real Estate Pac.
Best,
Les
