Hi,
Quote:
You would think that somewhere at HP they would have at least one original sample of each of their products
They once had samples, along the Corvallis 'Wall of Fame',
but it seems these samples were lost during
reassignment of the HP Corvallis site.
When I visited the HP Hannover site about 15 years ago,
they had a huge glass showcase in the entrance area.
It's more than two meters in height,
and has a footprint of about a square meter.
Actually that showcase was simply empty,
they didn't seem to have any use for it.
I asked them if I could expose some of my old HP calculators there,
which they found to be a good idea.
So I placed a unit of every series into that showcase,
from the HP-35 to the HP-95, and the HP-110 with IL printer.
So everyone who has to wait for his date at the HP Hannover site
will notice the showcase full of old and maybe interesting stuff,
and from what I heard, there were several visitors
who made nice comments about the small calculator exhibition.
Over the years some of the HP people there
also added some of their old stuff to the showcase,
including an HP 9100 desktop calc with printer option.
