HP49g+ $160 HP50g $132

This is on Amazon. Just wondering if you guys have any idea why the newer calculator costs less than the older one.

The prices depend on where you shop. With Amazon, you usually have different sellers asking different prices, and often new, but sometimes used.

Try, for example, http://commerce.hpcalc.org/; $130 (plus shipping and any tax) for the 50g.

As far as I can see, HP no longer offers the 49g+ on its on-line shopping pages, but its $149 MSRP for the 50g is the same as the last MSRP that I know of for the 49g+. Given that the 50g is an improvement over the 49g+, I wouldn't buy a 49g+ unless it were substantially cheaper than a 50g.
