HP 12C programming
Message #1 Posted by Adele Berger on 27 Sept 2006, 3:13 p.m.

Do you happen to have a copy of the many steps it takes to program an HP 12C so that I can figure out a rate factor, using a discount rate, term, points, advances, etc? i.e., 36 (term in months)store 0, 2 (advance payments) store 1, 1.04 (4 points gross profit)store 2, 0 (end of lease residual)store 3, 10% (our cost of funds/yield)store 4, hit the R/S button, it calculates and I get a rate factor? I must have misplaced my instructions when I moved my office down the hall. Help!

Hi, you need the 27 liner from pages 174/175 of the manual, except that your inputs for reg 2 and 4 need swapping: 36 sto 0, 10 enter 12 / sto 1, 1.04 sto 2, 0 sto 3, 2 sto 4, r/s gives .003301 as the monthly payment factor. If that is the answer you want then the above prog does the job. Cheers, Tony

I found it on my palmtop - ignore the comments. Hope this works.

PMT for lease with residual
48 STO 0
15 ENTER 12 / STO 1 1.25
22000 STO 2
30 % STO 3 6600 (SHOULD be shown in example)
4 STO 4
R/S 487.29
