HP41 repair Message #1 Posted by Lars Johansson on 13 Mar 2006, 10:49 a.m. I'm having a go at an HP41CV from 1982. After cleaning there is som life in it. There is some flicker on the display and a high pitch whining sound. Any suggestions which component is faulty? It seems that it might be the large condensators? --Lars

I sent it to a US individual's sideline HP calc repair business; his standard service of ultrasonic cleaning and re-soldering where necessary, cured the problem. -- KS
