Clonix-41 update (Xmas gift... ;-) Message #1 Posted by Diego Diaz on 5 Dec 2005, 3:32 p.m.
Hi all,
It's Xmas season and most of us are seeking for appropriate gifts...
Indeed it's a hard job to find the right gift for every person, but I'm pretty sure I've got a (sort-of-a) gift that will make many (all?) Clonix users very happy: some miliamps!!
Yes, if you take a look at http://www.clonix41.org/Projects/Clonix-41/clonixlp.zip you'll find a brand new version of the code for your Clonix-41 (of course it can also be used with NoV's)
Tha main difference with previous version is that the power consupmtion has been reduced by some 60%... yes, sixty!
There are some drawbacks though:
- You cannot use the 512 RAM words option.
- No bank-switching (this only affects Advantage emulation)
- It cannot be used with 2x speeded up HP-41's
For now this is *experimental* as it has not been possible to test it with the whole HP-41 clock range (340 thru 380KHz) but I've tested it within the 351 - 371KHz range and worked flawlessly.
Hope you enjoy it as much as I've enjoyed developing the code!! ;-))
Best whishes from the Canary Islands.
Diego.
