Message #1 Posted by LISA on 27 Aug 2005, 12:37 p.m.

WHERE CAN I SEND MY HP 11C CALUCALATOR TO FOR REPAIR? OR SHOULD I JUST BUY ANOTHER ONE?

Hi, Lisa;

HP itself no longer saupports the HP11C. You can try fix that calc.

About buuying another unit, e-bay sems to be the only place you'll find another HP11C. Beware of high prices... It will not be cheap.

If you consider a newre model, the only one that gets close to the HP11C is the HP33S. You should at least have a look at it prior to buy one; it is not like the HP11C at all.

Anyway, give Fix That Calc (and your HP11C) a chance...

Success!

Luiz (Brazil)

And if you don't repair it - DON'T THROW IT AWAY!

It almost certainly has parts which would be useful for rescueing other calculators.

Somebody here (or ebay) would buy it.

Hi Lisa.

If you like, give me a go. I am mainly into the HP41. Have done a few repairs. But Fixthatcalc are really good, I think. Plastics engineer, I think. Nice guy.

My specialty is electronics design and repair (20 years experience) but I also know a bit about materials science and have experience in building and repairing all sorts of equipment and in the use of special glues, epoxies and composites.

If you want to send it to me, first write to me, describing the problem and how it happened. For example, was it dropped? Is the display black? Does it work but some keys are dead? etc...

Happy to help you if I can.
