Some time ago, prior to the HP12Cp being available for sale, G.W. posted some pictures of it, one of them showing the beastīs guts. The Chinese assy is easily verified: a big epoxy bubble in the mid-right of the mainboard and some spare SMD around it. For the sake of technology it's pretty neat, but when we actually think of an HP calculator... Let me know what you (all) believe is the best choice. Please, check them out: Click to enlarge Prior to open. The new HP12Cp case has some tabs that serve as interlocks. I did not see that comming... Click to enlarge After removing the back case; and... Click to enlarge ...the componnets themselves. If you need some better images, let me know. I'll find a way to reduce the camera shaking somehow and try to zoom them in, if needed. Best regards.
