Solution for L() and G() functions on 17BII+
Message #1 Posted by Wah Wong on 5 May 2005, 1:50 p.m.

The problem of the L() and G() functions on 17BII+ is due to the registration of variables in the 2 functions. It can easily be fixed by running a null equation containing all the variables to be used in the L() function. For instance, if you want to use the variables AA and BB in an equation containing L(AA: expr) and L(BB:expr), you need to run an equation such as Y=AA+BB to initiate the registration of these variables first. Just press CALC and no need to enter any value. Then, you can perform the specific L() and G() functions without any problem. You only need to run the null equation once unless you perform a deletion of the variables.

Thanks for the info! NT.

Wah:

VERY good work to discover this kludge! Thanks for all of us who have 17BII+'s.

It WOULD be nice if future ROM versions handle registration better so we don't have to remember to initialize internal variables.

Bob
