PI Screen Saver (off topic)
Message #1 Posted by Mike H on 7 Jan 2005, 9:21 p.m.

A 3D screensaver, which calculates the mathematical constant pi. This screensaver demonstrates a simple and elegant Monte Carlo method for estimating the value of pi. This method is known as Buffon's Needle, and dates back to 1777. (according to the website)

The best calculation of PI is still the one that HP provided some time ago ... 355/113. Just try it!
