hp 15C blinking *

My hp15C has a blinking "*" at the lower left of the display. What does this indicate?

Low battery -- use three alkaline or silver oxide cells of type 44, 76, or 357.

Thanks Namir and Karl. I also have a blinking * on my 15c. I purchased it in May 1987 and this will be my first battery change!
