HP 82104A Card Readers (HP41)
Message #1 Posted by Dave Allen on 9 Dec 2004, 10:59 a.m.

I am looking for someone prepared to service some HP41C/CV/CX card readers for me. Mainly this will involve replacement of a perished rubber capstan drive but there may be other problems. Please indicate how many you have tackled, rate of success and what you will charge me. If I accept your proposal I will send you a batch of 5 or 10 at a time. Some are needed by engineers and land surveyors who do not wish to change from familiar HP RPN methods before their retirement, some as backups. Payment method can be worked out to best advantage. Some excellent 82104A repair routines have been posted on HP Forum from time to time. Please say where you are based and any known customs problem.

Dave,
May I suggest that your request would be more appropriately posted here as a Service Wanted ad? You might get more responses that way.

Thanks, Jeff; will do. I did wonder if there was another more suitable column. However I have also had several excellent responses directly through the posting on the HP Forum.
