HP82210A in a 48GX?
Message #1 Posted by Sean on 1 Dec 2004, 11:22 a.m.

Does this module (41 emulator)work in a GX, or only the SX? Thanks!

Only the SX. I have one and I've tried it in a GX...it doesn't work at all.

There's in fact 4 LIBs inside this 128K card (only 32Kb are used) :
L1402, L1403, L1404, L2046
It appears that the problem comes from the last one.
I'm re-writing correct codes for use with GX.

Hi Emmanuel,

good luck, it will be some work to do;-)

It's not only the RAM addresses which are tied to the SX,
there are also some internal ROM calls which are different
between the SX and the GX.

And there *exists* a version of these libraries already converted for the GX.
However these libs only have the RAM addresses converted,
so you won't have too much fun, and FOCAL programs
and some of the menus still won't work.

And no, I don't have this semi-converted version.
I think it was on one of the goodies disks,
maybe there's a suitable link on hpcalc.org...

Regards

Raymond

Dear Raymond,
Do you have the semi-converted version?
...
I was just joking. ;o)
Thanks for your precisions. Really helpful.
Emmanuel
