HP-01 Repair/Service
Message #1 Posted by Jerry Hayes on 6 Nov 2004, 2:58 p.m.

HP-01 Watch that I bought new in 1970 is having problems with its LEDs not completely working. Some not at all, while others just the top half light up. I've replaced the batteries without any luck in resolving the problem. Can anyone suggest a repair/service location that can help?

Sadly there is basically no way to fix them. There was never component-level repair of the electronics module; HP replaced it as a unit. And HP has not had spares for more than twenty years now.

I'm still looking for a broken HP-01 to buy (for less money than a good one) to extract the ROM contents for simulation, i.e., for my Nonpareil simulator.

Yes, give it to Eric! (nt)
