What is the Drive 95 for the 48series?

it is a 3.5" drive for the Hp48 series machines, but din't know what it is.

As you wrote, it's a portable 3.5" disk drive
which can be used with the HP-48 or HP-95LX,
or all other devices which implement the KERMIT protocol.
KERMIT is used to communicate with the drive.
Since the file format on the disks is FAT,
they can be used in PCs, too.
