Battery probelms with HP-19B
Message #1 Posted by Ed Cruz on 5 Sept 2004, 3:33 p.m.

I recently got a HP-19B from a thrift shop. Still works fine, except one of the N batteries that's buried inside the calculator won't come out. There seems to be a rubber thing holding it back, and I don't know how to get the battery out without destroying the rubber thing. Anyone have any ideas?

You might try putting a small blob of quick-curing epoxy cement on the end of a thin stick. Put the end of the stick on the exposed end of the battery and let the epoxy cure. Carefully pull out the battery with the stick.
