HP 12C Help!
Message #1 Posted by mitch kleinman on 26 Aug 2004, 1:17 p.m.

The decimal point dissappered and has been replaced with a comma. How do I get it back?

Hi;

please, locate both the [.] and [ON] keys on your calculator;

make sure it is turned to off;
press and hold the [.] key;
while holding the [.] key, switch the calculator to on;
release the [.] key.

These steps compose the basic operation to toggle dot for comma anytime you want.

Cheers.

Maybe Dave needs to add another feature to this site...

Any time a message comes in with any of ("10C", "11C", "12C", "15C", "16C") and "comma", the server should just generate the appropriate reply, to save us the trouble of doing it manually.

Think of the time savings!

(Actually, I don't mind seeing this FAQ over and over again. It means that new people are visiting this site all the time and are getting help -- a very positive thing, IMO.)
