HP-10 Handheld Printing Calculator
Message #1 Posted by Glenn Crowell on 19 Aug 2004, 12:35 p.m.

Is there anyone out there who can give me a clue as to why my HP-10 Printing Calculator is not printing on the thermal paper that came with the machine back in '79 when I purchased it. It's also not feeding very well. Acceptable but could be better. Just curious.

You need GOOD batteries in the machine for it to work properly. Your local Batteries Plus or Batteries, Etc store can rebuild your old pack with fresh cells.

Staples and other office supply stores carry the paper in their catalogs but usually do not stock it. The modern rolls are usually much shorter than the originals.

David:

Thanks so much for the information. I'm pretty sure the battery pack is shot and since I can't locate the pack (HP 82052A)I will take your suggestion and try fr a rebuild. Once again, thanks-
